HEY ALL!!!
The Camp has had an awesome start. There is plenty of snow on the ground and Moiwa Lodge is looking awesome. I arrived on Thursday and met the other coaches, all a bunch of great motivated guys. We spent Friday morning prepping for the campers arrival and the afternoon SHREDDING!!! The resort is looking great with good early cover and plenty of hits available to dial our tricks in.
Yesterday we picked up the campers from the Airport, where they quickly bonded and started making friends. With the IPODs pounding the crew drove back to the lodge – where the travel quickly caught up with the jet lag.
Today we prepped the campers for the days riding ahead. Passes where picked up, riding goals set, equipment checked. Late afternoon saw us travel into town for some shopping where campers met the locals and picked up some essential outfits for the snow.
Everyone is really excited to ride tomorrow it has been snowing all day, what better way to start shredding Japan than on a POW DAY!!!!!

First day of riding couldn’t come soon enough. Everyone woke for an early breakfast and then threw on the outerwear in anticipation of our first taste of Japanese powder.
Not one person was disappointed! It Snowed all day and we all took advantage of the early season stashes. Our first session was out at Hirafu, then we made our way to Hanozono, where we managed to stay together and explore the resort as a 25 person ‘rat pack’.
Lunch was over at Annapuri where we had our afternoon session. The teams then split into Skiing and snowboarding with more terrain to explore.
The end to a massive first day… can’t wait for more!!!! PS its dumping out side.

We were stoked for our second day on snow! Our skiing legs were back and we were firing on all cylinders.
All night long the snow gods blessed us with a big dump so we took full advantage of it with a 7.00 wake up and 8.00 on the hill. We headed straight to Higashima where all the untracked powder is. Everyone was amazed at the volume of snow that had fallen with everyone making the most of their first Japan powder experience. Notable achievements were the front and back flips thrown by some of the campers!
After lunch we split up into 2 groups, one to hit the rail back at Moiwa Lodge and one to keep skiing Annupuri powder!
All I can say is today was just a taste of what’s to come on the Super Camp 09/10!
