Progression Camp - Resorts

Whether exploring the huge variety of terrain at Niseko, learning new tricks on one of our booters, skiing and riding the back-country steeps of Annupuri, each day on the Progression Camp will have you begging for more!

The Niseko Area
The Super Camp is based at Niseko, Japan. The powder mecca! It receives 15m of snowfall each year -  that’s 6m more than Whistler, double Aspen or any resort in Europe, and 12m more than any resorts in Australia and New Zealand!

It’s no secret that Niseko is the new hotspot for skiers and riders around the globe. If you want tons of powder, a big terrain park, huge back-country terrain, and a brilliant cultural experience, then this is the place for you!

The Niseko area is made up of 4 resorts – Annupuri, Higashiyama, Grand Hirafu (Consisting of Hirafu and Hanazono) and Moiwa. The Super Camp use all 4 of these resorts!

Niseko United
The Niseko-United lift ticket allows you to ski/ride at 3 resorts – Annupuri, Hirafu/Hanazono and Higashiyama. All the resorts offer terrific skiing and riding, with Higashiyama offering the best inbounds steeps, Annupuri the best backcountry, and Hirafu/Hanazono the best park and pipe.

Generally regarded as ‘Niseko’, the town of Hirafu is where most tourists end up, however with almost no effort, you can be riding better, less crowded terrain on the nearby connected resorts of Annupuri, Higashiyama and Moiwa. Unlike most other programs, you will have the chance to ride all 4 of these terrific resorts.

Visit the Niseko-United website at www.niseko.ne.jp/en/  or download the Niseko-United trail map.

Moiwa
Moiwa is Niseko’s hidden gem. The place has virtually no crowds to speak of, and the terrain is simply brilliant. Niseko’s single best long groomed run, and tree lined steeps make this place a ton of fun. With almost no crowds, the snow here stays fresh and untouched for days at a time. So when everyone else is hiking and battling to find those 2 turns of fresh, you are just hopping off the high speed bubble quad and plowing through turn after turn!!

Moiwa is right out your front door, and is the perfect place to get away from the ‘Aussie invasion’ of Hirafu. It will give you that authentic Japanese experience, without being away from the action!

Freestyle
Niseko is perfect for the new age freestyler. There are parks with booters and rails at almost every resort, but the place kills it when it comes to natural hits and back-country. You can learn tricks on small booters or in the park, then take it out into the back-country like the pros!

Our backcountry sessions from past camps have provided the best days of any camp program in the world. Niseko will be no exception. Tons of powder, amazing views, great friends, and a variety of booters to hit, as well as powder lines to poach – these are the type of sessions that you talk about with your friends for the rest of your life!

Powder
This is what Niseko is all about. There is so much snow here! You can almost guarantee to be riding fresh pow and dropping some serious hits almost every day!

The epic snow comes from huge weather systems that arrive from Siberia, dropping truckloads of the lightest snow imaginable on the west coast of Hokkaido – that means Niseko! You don’t get much sun, but that’s because it’s always snowing. Not a bad trade off! With temperatures rarely above freezing, the powder stays fresh days after a big storm (if not weeks), meaning you can find powder stashes all the time.

Most of the new videos have Niseko plastered all over them, with most of the major film companies basing themselves in Niseko at some stage of the season. All the top pros have ridden here – don’t be the one to miss out!

Read what boardtheworld.com have said about Niseko:

‘The overall terrain available is wicked! … mix this with the amazingly natural consistent snowfalls
of deep fresh powder you will have one of the best snowboarding experiences ever..’
